TheProblem

Most businesses don't fail because the idea was wrong. They fail in the space between the idea and the thing a customer actually sees: the logo built in a weekend because it was free, the app shipped with no one truly responsible for how it looks, feels, or holds together, the brand that changes personality depending on which freelancer touched it last.

That gap is invisible until it isn't. It shows up as a customer who doesn't trust a product enough to pay for it. A pitch deck that undersells a genuinely good business. An app that gets rejected, or worse, gets approved and still doesn't get used. A brand that looks like three different companies depending on which platform you find it on.

In Kurdistan and the wider region, the problem is sharper still. Founders are typically handed two bad options:

Option A

A

Outsource abroad, to agencies with no feel for the language, the market, the pace of business, or the way people here actually decide to trust something.

Option B

B

Build in-house with no design leadership at all, and hope the result is good enough, because nobody on the team was ever supposed to own that job in the first place.

Both paths lead to the same place: a business whose ambition is bigger than what it looks and feels like from the outside.

02

The Cost ofGetting It Wrong

This isn't an abstract branding problem. It's a business problem with a price tag.

  1. 01

Lost trust, before a word is spoken.

People decide whether to trust a product in seconds, often before they've read a single sentence about what it does. A weak identity taxes every sales conversation that follows.

  2. 02

    Wasted development.

Building software without real UX thinking means rebuilding it later, after users are already confused, already churned, already gone.

  3. 03

    Rejected launches.

App stores, regulators, and platforms have real rules. Getting flagged, delayed, or rejected at launch costs momentum that's brutally hard to win back.

  4. 04

    A brand that can't scale.

An identity that only works on one screen, in one size, in one context, becomes a liability the moment the business grows past it.

None of this is inevitable. It's what happens when design and product thinking are treated as decoration instead of infrastructure.

03

The Solution:Krok

Krok is a product studio built to close that gap, for founders and companies who need design and product thinking treated as core infrastructure, not an afterthought.

We think in systems, not one-off deliverables: a logo that also has to work as an app icon, a color palette that has to survive a low-quality print run, a product screen that has to make sense to a rep standing in a pharmacy with one hand free. Every engagement is built to hold up under the real conditions a business actually operates in, not just look good in a pitch.

Krok mark

Krok · Kurdish for “core”

Krok: the name comes from the Kurdish word for core. It's not decoration. It's the discipline the rest of the studio is built around: strip away the noise, and what's left should be sharp, deliberate, and built to last.

04

WhatWe Do

Krok operates as a focused studio across two disciplines that matter most: building the thing, and making sure the thing is unmistakably yours.

01

Development

We take ideas from concept into working software: landing pages, prototypes, and full applications, with a strong bias toward shipping something real and testable rather than sitting in endless design purgatory. Development at Krok isn't handed a static file and told to build it blind; it's shaped alongside the brand and product thinking from day one, so what ships actually looks and feels like the business it belongs to.

02

Branding & Identity

Naming, visual identity systems, logo and wordmark design, color and typography systems, brand voice and tone, and full brand guidelines documentation. We build identities meant to hold up under real use (packaging, apps, ads, signage, a phone screen in bad light), not just look good on a single mockup. Strong, opinionated positions on typography, color, and voice are the default here, not the exception: vague, safe branding doesn't move a business forward.

03

Go-to-Market Support

Because we build and launch our own products in-house, we understand launch mechanics from the inside: App Store/Play Store submissions and appeals, ASO, pricing strategy, pre-launch content and social campaigns, and privacy/compliance documentation. This isn't theoretical launch advice; it's informed by having personally navigated app store rejections, priced a product for this exact market, and shipped campaigns that had to actually perform.

05

HowWe Work

01

One team, every discipline.

Instead of routing a project through separate branding and development vendors who've never spoken to each other, Krok runs it through one accountable team that understands how the pieces connect.

02

We build what we sell.

Krok owns and operates its own product, Revia, which means client work is shaped by people who have shipped a real product, hit real App Store rejections, and made real pricing decisions, not just designed mockups and walked away.

03

Bilingual, bicultural fluency.

Kurdish and regional market context isn't an afterthought we translate into; it's built into how we name things, write copy, and design for how people actually use products here.

04

Honest about risk.

We'd rather tell a client a technical constraint up front than discover it after the deposit clears. Scoping includes real disclosure of what's hard, not just what's exciting.

05

Small by design, not by limitation.

A focused, senior team means every project gets direct attention from the people actually doing the work; no account manager layer between a client and the people making the decisions.

Revia: Proof WePractice WhatWe Build

Krok isn't only a service studio; we build and operate our own software, and Revia is the clearest proof of that. It's not a side project or a portfolio piece; it's a live, owned SaaS platform that runs on the same design discipline and product rigor we bring to every client engagement.

Revia

For those who move forward.

Deep BlackVioletHorizon Blue

Revia is a pharma field sales management platform built for the people on the ground: reps, supervisors, and managers who need real visibility into territory, visits, and performance instead of spreadsheets and guesswork. The name itself is a small piece of engineering: Kurdish “re” (road) fused with the Latin via (by way of): a platform built, quite literally, for people who are always moving forward.

Every layer of Revia carries the same standard we hold client work to:

01

A brand system with a point of view.

The theme For Those Who Move Forward runs through deep black, violet, and horizon blue, paired with Gate for voice and monospace data typography for precision, a system designed to feel authoritative in a boardroom and legible on a rep's phone in the field.

02

Pricing built for how this market actually buys.

Tiered plans that scale from an individual rep up through enterprise OPEX and CAPEX deployment paths, not a generic SaaS price list ported in from elsewhere.

03

A go-to-market built end-to-end, in-house.

App Store and Play Store submission and compliance, ASO strategy, a full pre-launch content and video campaign, and WhatsApp Business integration, all designed, written, and shipped by the same team behind the brand.

Revia matters to a prospective client for one reason above all: it means Krok isn't a studio that only advises on product and launch strategy from the sidelines. We've built, priced, launched, and iterated a real product ourselves, appeals to app stores and all, which is exactly the kind of hard-won judgment we bring to every engagement we take on.

08

Who WeBuild For

Krok works best with founders and teams who already know their business matters and refuse to let a weak brand or a clumsy product undersell it:

  • 01

Startups and founders launching a first product who need it to look and feel like it belongs in the market it's entering, not like a first draft.

  • 02

Established businesses undergoing a rebrand, a relaunch, or a digital transformation who've outgrown whatever got them here.

  • 03

Companies in regulated or technical industries (fintech, pharma, telecom) who need both design polish and the operational discipline to survive real compliance and platform review.

  • 04

Anyone tired of choosing between “looks great, doesn't work” and “works fine, looks like nothing.”

09

OurStandard

01

Studio depth, not freelancer breadth.

A dedicated team across branding and development, not a single generalist wearing every hat, and not a scattered network of contractors with no shared standard.

02

Proof through practice.

We don't just advise on product and launch strategy; we live it, through Revia, our own owned platform, priced, launched, and iterated by the same people who'll be working on your project.

03

Design as a decisive discipline.

Strong, opinionated positions on typography, color, and brand voice, because vague, safe design doesn't move a business forward. We'd rather make a confident call and defend it than hand over five watered-down options.

04

Built for this region, ready for more.

Deep fluency in the Kurdistan and Iraqi market (language, buying behavior, visual culture) with a design and product standard built to travel well beyond it.
